Description
A Compact IP Door Station With Indoor Answering and Mount
An IP-based door entry bundle built around the Akuvox E12S door station, supplied with the S562 indoor unit and an angle bracket. Because it runs over the network rather than dedicated intercom cable, it shares the same infrastructure as your cameras and can be reached from off site. The angle bracket is the part most people discover they need after the fact — it lets the station be aimed along a path or across a porch rather than staring straight out from the wall.
What’s in the Kit
| 1 × Door station | E12S — compact Linux-based IP video door station with call button and card reader |
| 1 × Indoor unit | S562 — indoor answering station |
| 1 × Angle bracket | Angles the door station toward the approach so callers are framed properly |
What Makes This Kit
- Runs on your existing network — IP and PoE, so one Ethernet cable carries power, video and audio. No separate intercom wiring and no proprietary bus to maintain.
- Linux-based and SIP standard — An open platform rather than a closed appliance, so it can register to a SIP server and work alongside other systems instead of demanding its own.
- Angle bracket supplied — Lets you aim the station down a walkway or across an entry. A door station mounted flat to a wall often catches the side of a visitor's head and nothing else.
- Card entry built in — Residents and staff use a card or fob at the door; the intercom is reserved for actual visitors.
- Compact footprint — The E12S is a small-format station, which suits narrow door frames and gate posts where a full modular panel will not fit.
Where It Fits
A good fit for a small office, a unit or a house where the network already reaches the entrance, and especially where the door frame or gate post is too narrow for a full-size modular panel. Choose this over a two-wire kit when you want the door station reachable remotely and on the same network as the rest of your security equipment.
