A Linux SIP Indoor Station With Real I/O

The Akuvox S562 is a 7-inch Linux-based SIP indoor station, and its interface list is what sets it apart from a typical answering monitor: a relay output, a bell input, eight I/O channels and RS-485. That makes it a control point for the entrance rather than only a screen that shows who is at the door.

Key Details

  • Substantial I/O — A relay out, a bell in, eight I/O channels and RS-485 — enough to drive a lock and monitor door and alarm states from the indoor unit itself.
  • Open SIP — Registers to standard SIP servers, so it works alongside phone systems and third-party door stations rather than only Akuvox ones.
  • 7-inch touchscreen — A 1024 × 600 TFT with capacitive touch as the main answering point.
  • Linux based — A stable embedded platform without the update churn of a general-purpose consumer OS.
  • PoE or 12VDC — 802.3af PoE or local power, at 216.4 × 118.8 × 21.7mm.

Where It Fits

For offices and installations built on SIP, and for any site where the indoor station needs to do more than answer calls — driving a lock, monitoring a door contact, or linking to an alarm.
