A Cloud-Managed Intercom With Number Plate Unlock

The Verkada TD33 is a 5MP intercom built around cloud management, with an unusual credential list: NFC, QR code, Bluetooth, DTMF and licence plate recognition. Plate-based unlock is the notable one — a vehicle gate that opens for a recognised plate without the driver touching anything or lowering a window.

Key Details

  • Licence plate unlock — Opens for a recognised vehicle automatically, which for a gated site removes the daily friction of fobs, apps and winding down windows.
  • Five credential types — NFC, QR code, Bluetooth, DTMF and plate recognition, covering residents, visitors and vehicles through one device.
  • 5MP with HDR — 2592 × 1944 with HDR across a 102° diagonal view, so callers and vehicles are clearly recorded.
  • Built for the outdoors — IP66 and IK10 rated, from −40°C to 55°C, with active tamper detection.
  • Single-cable install — 802.3af PoE for power and data, surface mounted with an angle bracket option, at 150 × 45 × 43mm.

Where It Fits

For organisations already committed to Verkada's cloud platform, and for gated sites where vehicle access is the daily reality. Note this is a cloud-managed product — it depends on a Verkada subscription and internet connectivity, which is a different operating model from the locally-managed systems elsewhere in this range.
