Hikvision iDS-2CD8A46G2-XZHSY(0832/4) — Dual-Sensor DeepinView ANPR Bullet Camera

The iDS-2CD8A46G2-XZHSY(0832/4) packs two 4MP sensors into a single housing: an 8–32 mm motorised ANPR channel that captures number-plate detail, paired with a 4 mm fixed overview channel that records the broader scene. It suits professional car parks, gates, driveways and road-monitoring installations where operators need the plate shot and the surrounding vehicle event together.

Hikvision's ANPR engine can read number plates and identify vehicle attributes, and when paired with compatible Hikvision recorders or HikCentral platforms it supports alerting and forensic search. Real-world capture rates depend on getting the lane geometry, mounting height, shutter settings, lighting, vehicle speed and commissioning right.

Why an end user would choose it

• Two views from one camera: a close-up ANPR stream plus a wide overview stream tell the complete story of each event.
• Dual 4MP imaging: up to 2688 × 1520 on each channel.
• Flexible plate framing: the 8–32 mm motorised lens adjusts to suit the lane and capture distance required.
• Wider context: the fixed 4 mm channel keeps the vehicle and its surroundings in frame.
• Strong night performance: Smart Hybrid Light covers up to 100 m on the ANPR channel and up to 40 m on the overview channel in suitable conditions.
• Backlight control: 140 dB WDR handles headlights, entranceways and shifting daylight.
• Professional protection: IP67 and IK10 rated; the Y model additionally carries NEMA 4X moderate anti-corrosion protection.
• Efficient storage: H.265+ compression and five streams cover a range of recording and viewing requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Why does this camera have two lenses?
The 8–32 mm channel is dedicated to plate detail, while the 4 mm channel maintains a wider view of the vehicle and scene — making events far easier to verify than a plate-only image would allow.

Can it recognise number plates at night?
Yes, it is built for night ANPR, combining DarkFighter 2.0 with Smart Hybrid Light. Consistent results still depend on mounting, exposure settings, vehicle speed and site lighting.

Does it work with any NVR?
Any compatible recorder can store the video, but the advanced ANPR search, list and alert features need a supported Hikvision NVR or HikCentral configuration — confirm compatibility before ordering.

Is the lens motorised?
The 8–32 mm ANPR lens is motorised for remote framing and focus adjustment; the 4 mm overview lens is fixed.

What is the exact SKU?
The official available-model code is iDS-2CD8A46G2-XZHSY(0832/4).
