Hikvision iDS-2CD7146G0-IZS(C) — 4MP DeepinView Indoor Motorised Varifocal Dome

The Hikvision iDS-2CD7146G0-IZS(C) is a specialist indoor dome aimed at sites that need considerably more than a basic motion alert. Between its 4MP 1/1.8-inch sensor, motorised P-iris lens and DeepinView analytics, it fits entrances, retail floors, service counters, offices and similar indoor spaces where face capture, people counting or queue data serves security and daily operations alike.

Choose the lens to suit the job: the 2.8–12 mm version covers a wider adjustable scene with IR reaching up to 30 m, whereas the 8–32 mm version targets narrower, longer-range views with IR up to 50 m. Both allow zoom and focus to be set remotely at commissioning.

Why an end user would choose it

  • Clear 4MP video: up to 2688 × 1520 resolution from a light-sensitive 1/1.8-inch sensor.
  • Useful business intelligence: supports face capture, multi-target detection, attribute-based people counting and queue management.
  • Fewer nuisance perimeter alerts: deep-learning filtering can classify people and vehicles for line-crossing, intrusion and region events.
  • Flexible framing: select 2.8–12 mm for general indoor coverage or 8–32 mm for narrower, longer-range detail.
  • Strong backlight control: 140 dB WDR helps retain detail around bright doors, windows and reception areas.
  • Installation flexibility: PoE or 12 VDC/24 VAC power, plus alarm I/O, audio I/O, built-in microphone and RS-485.
  • Local recording: microSD support up to 256 GB; card sold separately.
  • Vandal resistance: IK10-rated housing for exposed indoor public areas.

Lens options compared

Variant Best suited to Horizontal field of view IR range
2.8–12 mm Entrances, reception areas and wider indoor scenes 114.5° to 41.8° Up to 30 m
8–32 mm Longer corridors, distant counters and tighter detail 42.5° to 15.1° Up to 50 m

Important before you buy

  • This model is an indoor DeepinView camera; for exposed external positions, specify an outdoor-rated Hikvision model instead.
  • How well the analytics perform comes down to mounting height, angle, scene lighting and configuration. Queue, face and people-counting applications are best commissioned professionally.
  • Depending on which features you intend to use, a compatible recorder, a PoE network and/or Hikvision management software may also be needed.
  • Neither a microSD card nor 12 VDC/24 VAC power supplies are included unless listed separately.

Frequently asked questions

Which lens should I choose?

Pick 2.8–12 mm where a wider adjustable view is wanted across an entrance, foyer or shop floor. Pick 8–32 mm where the subject sits farther off and you want a tighter view with greater reach.

Does it record colour at night?

Night viewing relies on infrared, so footage in very low light and after dark will generally revert to monochrome. It is not a white-light ColorVu camera.

Can it count people and monitor queues?

It can — attribute-based people counting and queue management are part of the DeepinView analytics set. Getting accurate figures depends on sensible positioning and configuration.

Can I adjust the lens remotely?

Yes, both lens variants are motorised, offering remote zoom and focus that makes commissioning easier.
