TP-Link VIGI C340 (2.8mm) — 4MP Full-Colour Outdoor Bullet

The C340 is VIGI's mainstream outdoor bullet, and this 2.8mm build is the coverage option: a wide field of view that sweeps a driveway, yard or forecourt from a single mounting point. Spotlight LEDs work with the 4MP sensor to hold full colour right through the night, so recorded events keep the colour detail that turns 'a light-coloured sedan' into an actual description. Detection runs on the camera — human, motion, intrusion, line-crossing and tamper events all push alerts as they happen — while a built-in microphone captures audio and a microSD slot keeps a local copy of footage. IP66 sealing handles the weather.

Core Technology

• 24/7 colour footage — Spotlight LEDs keep the sensor seeing in colour after dark, and the visible light itself discourages anyone approaching the property.
• 4MP resolution — 2560 × 1440 pixels record meaningfully more detail than 1080p, holding up to the digital zoom that incident review demands.
• Wide 2.8mm lens — One camera covers a broad outdoor scene — the sensible default for driveways, yards and building frontages.
• On-camera smart detection — Human detection, motion, area intrusion, line-crossing and tampering each trigger their own notification with no recorder required to think for it.
• Audio plus local storage — A built-in microphone adds sound to the record, and the microSD slot keeps footage on-camera as a network-outage fallback.
• H.265+ efficiency — Compression cuts storage and bandwidth demands substantially, letting the same hard drive hold weeks more history.

Where It Fits

Our default outdoor pick for homes and small commercial sites wanting colour night vision with visible deterrence. PoE or 12V DC powered, managed from the VIGI app or NVR. Need reach down a long drive instead? The 4mm and 6mm builds narrow the view.
