TP-Link VIGI C340 (4mm) — 4MP Full-Colour Outdoor Bullet, Mid-Reach Lens

This 4mm version of the VIGI C340 splits the difference between the wide 2.8mm and long 6mm builds: a moderately narrowed view that pushes the 4MP sensor's detail further out, well matched to entrances, side paths and car park lanes. Spotlight LEDs keep the image in full colour 24 hours a day, so night events record with real colour rather than infrared grey. Smart detection — human, motion, intrusion, line-crossing, tampering — runs in the camera and alerts immediately, audio comes from a built-in microphone, and the IP66 housing is rated from -30°C to 60°C, covering any Australian climate.

Core Technology

• Full-colour night vision — Spotlight LEDs illuminate the scene so the sensor keeps recording in colour after dark, and the light itself deters.
• 4MP clarity — 2560 × 1440 resolution provides the pixel headroom to zoom into plates, faces and details during playback.
• 4mm balanced lens — Narrower than 2.8mm without going full telephoto — the right compromise for entrances, walkways and medium-distance approaches.
• Smart detection suite — Human, motion, area intrusion, line-crossing and video tampering events are analysed on-camera and pushed to the VIGI app instantly.
• Built for the weather — IP66 sealing plus a -30°C to 60°C operating range means summer sun and winter storms are equally irrelevant.
• Standards-friendly networking — ONVIF and standard streaming protocols over its RJ45 port let it join third-party recorders, not just VIGI NVRs.

Where It Fits

Choose the 4mm C340 for entrances, side access paths and car park lanes where subjects sit a bit beyond wide-angle range. Powers over PoE (802.3af) or 12V DC and manages from the VIGI app, an NVR or a browser.
