Enrol Cards at a Desk Instead of at the Door
The ASM100 is a USB desktop reader for registering Mifare cards and fobs. Without one, enrolling a credential means standing at the door station presenting cards in sequence, which is slow, error-prone and conspicuous. With one, a batch of cards is issued from the office in a couple of minutes.
Key Details
- Desktop enrolment — Register credentials at a computer rather than at the entrance — faster, and it does not tie up the door while you work.
- USB powered — One USB cable for power and data. No power supply and no network configuration.
- Batch issuing — Practical for enrolling a whole building's residents or a new intake of staff in one sitting.
- Mifare 13.56MHz — Reads the standard IC cards and fobs used across Dahua intercom and access systems.
- Reduces mistakes — Enrolling against a user record on screen makes it much harder to assign a card to the wrong person than presenting cards at a panel does.
Where It Fits
Worth having on any site issuing more than a handful of credentials — a strata building, an office, a gym. For a single household with three fobs, enrol at the door station and save the money.
