Master Elevator Controller for 128 Floors
The DS-K2210 is the head-end of a Hikvision lift access system, managing permissions for up to 128 floors with 20,000 cards and 50,000 stored events. It uplinks over TCP/IP or RS-485 and drives distributed sub-controllers in the lift shaft, which is what keeps the cabling sane in a tall building.
Key Details
- 128 floors from one controller — Per-floor permissions across the whole building, administered centrally rather than per lift car.
- 20,000 cards — Enough credential capacity for a large residential tower or a multi-tenant commercial building, with 50,000 events retained for audit.
- Distributed architecture — Drives sub-controllers over RS-485 rather than home-running every floor relay back to the plant room — a significant saving in cable on a tall building.
- Two uplink options — TCP/IP or RS-485 to the management system, so it fits both modern network installations and existing serial infrastructure.
- Auditable — Stored events give a record of who called which floor and when, which is often a compliance requirement rather than a nice-to-have.
Where It Fits
The master unit for lift access control in apartment towers, hotels and commercial buildings. Pair it with DS-K2M0016A sub-controllers, sizing one relay per floor served.
