Description
Keypad Module for PIN Entry
The DS-KD-KP adds a backlit numeric keypad to a modular door station, giving PIN entry alongside whatever else the panel offers. A code is the most flexible credential there is: it can be issued over the phone, changed instantly, and given to a cleaner for a week without handing over hardware. This is a module for Hikvision's KD8 Series Pro modular door station, not a complete station. A working panel needs a main unit with the camera, any modules you want beside it, and a mounting box sized for the total module count.
Key Details
- PIN entry without hardware — Grant access by telling someone a number. Nothing to post, collect or replace when they leave.
- Changed in seconds — A compromised code is replaced immediately — far quicker than recalling cards or changing a lock.
- Also dials the indoor station — Doubles as a way to call a specific indoor station by number, useful on a multi-dwelling panel.
- Backlit keys — Illuminated buttons, because a keypad that cannot be read after dark will not be used after dark.
- IP65 and IK07 — Weather sealed and impact rated as part of a completed modular assembly.
Where It Fits
Add to any panel where temporary or shared access is needed — a household with carers or trades, a holiday rental, an office with contractors. Pair it with a card reader module if you want permanent users on credentials and visitors on codes.
